Mars Orbiter
2001 Mars Odyssey
2001 Mars Odyssey is currently about 237,975,800 kilometres from Earth, or 1.591 astronomical units, which puts a one-way radio signal 13.2 minutes out. It is 1.571 astronomical units from the Sun.
The longest-serving spacecraft at another planet, mapping Martian minerals and ice since 2001 and still relaying rover data a quarter century later.
Its neutron spectrometer found the buried water ice that shaped every mission since.
