Astronauts outside the International Space Station have conducted a series of spacewalks to perform critical maintenance on orbital systems. On August 25, NASA astronaut Anil Menon and ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot completed a spacewalk to finish installing a new high-speed Space-to-Ground antenna.

Following the successful antenna work, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot and NASA astronaut Jessica Meir prepared to suit up for another maintenance spacewalk on September 1. The exterior excursions focus on upgrading navigation equipment and science infrastructure on the station's exterior.
