NASA stacks solid rocket boosters for Artemis III moon mission

Engineers have placed the center segments of both solid rocket boosters onto the Mobile Launcher at Kennedy Space Center.

NASA has stacked the center segments of both solid rocket boosters for the Artemis III mission onto the Mobile Launcher. The milestone represents continued assembly progress on the Space Launch System rocket intended to send astronauts back to the lunar surface.

Work on the SLS hardware continues alongside preparations for future Artemis flights as components for the heavy-lift vehicle are prepared and integrated.
