Europe launches MTG-I2 weather satellite aboard Ariane 6

The Meteosat Third Generation Imager 2 satellite lifted off from French Guiana to enhance European meteorological forecasting.

Europe launched its second Meteosat Third Generation Imager satellite, MTG-I2, aboard an Ariane 6 rocket on August 27 at 22:11 CEST from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana.

The satellite joins the MTG constellation to deliver high-resolution imagery and data for weather forecasting across Europe and northern Africa.
